Since 1981. Second generation. Same family.
Charles Mayes started C. Mayes Plumbing & Heating in 1981 on Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. His son Tim grew up in the trade, took the company over after his father passed, and moved the shop to Crofton Boulevard, where it is today. The name on the truck has been Mayes the whole time, and the family has been doing plumbing for Anne Arundel, Prince George's, Howard and Baltimore County homeowners for more than four decades.
How we work
We tell you the price before we start. Not after. If we open something up and the job changes, we stop and talk to you.
We tell you when you don't need something. There is real money in selling homeowners items they were never required to have. We'd rather have you call us again in three years.
The person who shows up works for us. We're not a call center that farms your job to whoever's available.
We explain what we found. In plain language, with the part in our hand if that helps.
No trip charge on home warranty calls. Ever, from any warranty company. If there's a service fee on that call, it's your plan's fee, not ours.
Licensed and insured
Maryland License #21861, issued by the Maryland Board of Plumbing. We carry liability insurance and will provide a certificate on request.
Licensing matters more than people realize. A licensed plumber is accountable to the state, has to keep the license current, and knows which of the four different plumbing codes in our service area applies to your address.
