After hours

A real person answers 24 hours a day. Call the office number any time — after hours, the recording gives you the option for the emergency line, and it goes to a person, not a voicemail. If something truly can't wait — water coming in, no water, a gas smell, a failed sump pump in a storm — we'll get someone moving. If it can wait until morning, we'll say so and get you booked first thing. Either way, if you've got water coming in right now, call: we'll talk you through shutting it off while help is on the way.

If this is urgent, please call (410) 923-0510 instead of waiting on the form. We reply to form requests during business hours.

Frequently asked questions

What areas do you serve?

Anne Arundel County, Prince George's County, Howard County, Baltimore County and Baltimore City — Crofton, Gambrills, Odenton, Severna Park, Annapolis, Glen Burnie, Bowie, Upper Marlboro, Laurel, Hyattsville, Columbia and the surrounding towns.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Maryland License #21861 from the Maryland Board of Plumbing, and we carry liability insurance. Ask for a certificate any time.

Do you charge for an estimate or a service call?

For most jobs close to our Crofton shop, no. On some calls — usually longer drives, or a diagnosis that takes real time — there is a $120 trip charge. It is applied to the repair when you approve the work, so you never pay it on top of the job. There is never a trip charge on a home warranty call.

How soon can you get here?

It depends on the day and where you are. Call and we'll tell you honestly rather than promising something we can't hold to.

Do you work with home warranty companies?

Yes — American Home Shield, 2-10, HWA and First American among others. It's a large part of our work, and we've written a plain-English explanation of how those claims go.

Do you work on well systems and septic?

Well systems, pressure tanks and water treatment, yes — common in Millersville and parts of Gambrills. For septic tanks themselves we'll tell you if you need a septic contractor instead.

Can you tell me what it will cost over the phone?

Sometimes we can narrow it down. For most jobs we need to see it — but you'll always get the price before we start, not after.

What should I do while I wait for a plumber?

If water is running where it shouldn't, shut off the main. If a drain is backing up, stop running water anywhere in the house. If you smell gas, leave the building and call 911 and your gas utility first.
